چکیده

Applications of perturbative QCD to deeply virtual Compton scattering and hard exclusive meson electroproduction processes require a generalization of usual parton distributions for the case when long-distance information is accumulated in nonforward matrix elements 〈p | O(0, z) | p〉 of quark and gluon light-cone operators. In our previous papers we used two types of nonperturbative functions parametrizing such matrix elements: double distributions F (x, y; t) and nonforward distribution functions Fζ(X; t). Here we discuss in more detail the double distributions (DD’s) and evolution equations which they satisfy. We propose simple models for F (x, y; t = 0) DD’s with correct spectral and symmetry properties which also satisfy the reduction relations connecting them to the usual parton densities f(x). In this way, we obtain self-consistent models for the ζ-dependence of nonforward distributions. We show that, for small ζ, one can easily obtain nonforward distributions (in the X > ζ region) from the parton densities: Fζ(X; t = 0) ≈ f(X−ζ/2).

Unintegrated double parton distributions

We present the construction of unintegrated double parton distribution functions which include dependence on transverse momenta of partons. We extend the formulation which was used to obtain the single unintegrated parton distributions from the standard, integrated parton distribution functions. Starting from the homogeneous part of the evolution equations for the integrated double parton distr...

Evolution equations of the probabilistic generalization of the Voigt profile function

The spectrum profile that emerges in molecular spectroscopy and atmospheric radiative transfer as the combined effect of Doppler and pressure broadenings is known as the Voigt profile function. Because of its convolution integral representation, the Voigt profile can be interpreted as the probability density function of the sum of two independent random variables with Gaussian density (due to t...

We investigate numerical solution of Q 2 evolution equations for structure functions in the nucleon and in nuclei. (Dokshitzer-Gribov-Lipatov-)Altarelli-Parisi and Mueller-Qiu evolution equations are solved in a brute-force method. Spin-independent flavor-nonsinglet and singlet equations with next-to-leading-order α s corrections are studied. Dividing the variables x and Q 2 into small steps, w...

EEDF MEASUREMENTS AND EXCITATION PROCESSES IN THE VICINITY OF A HELIUM DISCHARGE CONSTRICTION

Axial distributions of plasma and floating potentials, electron number density and the electron energy distribution function (EEDF) have been measured in the double layer (DL) region of an He discharge constriction. Excitation processes in the constriction region are studied. Using a linearization method for the nonstationary balance equations and choosing appropriate discharge conditions, ...
